Its Almost Saturday!

Independence Day has now passed and summer is in full swing now.  What better way to enjoy the summer than to head to the farmers market?  So, on that note here is what we will have tomorrow:

Heirloom sourdough bread (slightly sweet), country dinner bread, rosemary and oregano focaccia, Caribbean muffins, oatmeal-cranberry muffins, Mississippi Mud Cake, pound cake from a 100-year old recipe, Snickerdoodle apple cobbler bars, and peanut butter-chocolate chip cookies. AND herbs, potted herbs, summer plants and handmade planting containers.

Baked items are super fresh, plants are healthy, and the handmade containers are waiting to be planted in.  See you Saturday!

Market Day!



Everyone has stayed busy today getting ready for the Westover Hills Farmers Market.  Fresh baked goods have been going in and out of the oven since 6:30 this morning! Plants and containers are waiting to be loaded and as soon as 2:15 p.m. hits were gone! So, here is what will show up at Westover Hills:

Rosemary Fococcia, Heirloom Sourdough bread (slightly sweet), country dinner bread, pound cake which recipe as been passed down to us from the 1800's, peanut butter chocolate chip cookies from the 1930's, lime melt away cookies, and more!

Also, herbs, plants, handmade containers, and potted herbs.

New Additions. . .

Tomorrow is Saturday once again and we have new items!!!  We are introducing our heirloom sourdough bread (slightly sweet) and Caribbean sunrise whole wheat oatmeal muffins.  Also, we will have country dinner bread, rosemary fococcia, snicker doodle apple cobbler bars, cranberry oatmeal muffins, and heirloom pound cake from an 1800's recipe!

We will have some heirloom plants, herbs, potted herbs, and handmade containers as well.

Friday Update!

Here's what we will have this week at the Hillcrest Farmers Market:

Heritage baked items: Snickerdoodle Apple Cobbler muffins, Shaker Applesauce Muffins, Oatmeal Cranberry Muffins, Country Dinner Bread, and Rosemary Focaccia Bread.  We sold out completely the first hour at last Tuesdays farmers market!

Fresh herbs: Thyme, mint, and rosemary.

We are Expanding with New Products!

(Country Dinner Bread) 
We are now expanding our family farming operation to include baked items along with plants and produce. Our goal is to let people experience both heritage produce and heritage foods since we believe both have superior taste to a lot of our modern day food found at grocery stores.  So that said here is what we will be bringing this Saturday to Hillcrest Farmers Market:

Fresh Baked Items: Shaker Applesauce Muffins, Oatmeal Muffins, Soft Pretzels, Rosemary Focaccia Bread with fresh garden rosemary, and Country Dinner Bread.

Plants: A variety of tomatoes, peppers, and herbs.  Summer flowers. . . marigolds, miniature teddy bear sunflowers, and more.

Also, we will have handmade containers and potted herbs and flowers in handmade containers.
          P.S Our dinner bread sold out 15 minutes after last Tuesdays market opened!

Tuesday Market!


Our farming operations are expanding!!!  
We are now offering heirloom baked goods from old recipes collected over the years.  So, with our expanding we will now be at the Westover Hills Farmers Market Tuesdays from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.  Below is a list of what we will be offering today.

Produce: Fresh salad mix, fresh mint, and rosemary.

Baked Items: Country Dinner Bread, Old Fashion Teacakes, Old Fashion Teacakes with organic peach topping, White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies, and Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Plants: Flowers- Dwarf Teddy Bear Sunflowers, Love-in-a-Mist (cultivated in English gardens since the 1570's!), Pink Sunday Sage, Calendula, and Marigolds.  All flowers have just begun to bloom promising longer summer life.
A variety of herbs, potted herbs in handmade containers, and varieties of peppers and tomatoes of which one yellow cherry tomato whose origin can be traced to 1930!

June 8th Market


It's hard to think that June is already here!  But, with tomatoes on the vine and squash ripening summer is fast approaching.  
This Saturday (tomorrow) we will be at Hillcrest Farmers Market with some summer produce, the last lettuce of the season, fresh herbs, potted herbs, new summer annuals, plants, and handmade containers.  Also, the summer annual flowers have just begun to bloom promising blooms all season long.  Below I have a list of what we will be bringing.

Produce:
Straight neck yellow squash, Baby loose leaf lettuce, fresh rosemary, fresh spear mint, and fresh pepper mint.

Plants:
-Flowers: Calendula, Marigolds, Teddy Bear Sunflowers (dwarf), Pink Sunday Sage.  All flowers are are just beginning to open for maximum summer blooming.

Variety of Peppers, Herbs, potted herbs, and Tomatoes including yellow cherry tomatoes that date back to 1931!
